Kisses that kill

By Kika Sanchez

One week, I am revealing the early ancestral makeup. And this week we have the classic, legendary, always indispensable lip or lipstick. Figures

worldwide as Marilyn, Clara Bow and Angelina Jolie, to name a few, have managed to position it as an item as simple as captivating. As memorable as desirable. And as provocative as aspirational ... as it is by far the cheapest way to get the name of a great designer at hand!

women is believed in ancient Mesopotamia were the creators of the lip, giving the pigments crushed semi-precious stones used to decorate their mouths.

early Egyptians had more tragic, because they were the color of the focus algin, with 0.01% iodine and other chemicals that cause serious illness. Cleopatra, however, insisted and got the perfect pitch by crushed carmine beetles and ants base, so decorating your lips with a deep dark red.

The shiny pearlescent effect is achieved only when included in the ingredients, the pearl of fish scales.
But it should be noted that no matter how disgusting it was constituted, was a very valued, helping to differentiate social classes during the day.

During the Islamic Golden Age of the prominent Arab-Andalusian cosmetologist Abu al-Qasim al-Zahrawi (Abulcasis) created the solid lipsticks, which were perfumed and pressed in special molds.

Later, in the European Middle Ages, the lipstick was banned by the church and was intended to be used as an "incarnation of Satan" ... and do not answer to it decided that cosmetics should be "reserved" for prostitutes .... Now I understand the reactions of my grandfather before my ruby \u200b\u200blips made with a permanent ....

Then, during the Renaissance British in the 16 century, lipstick gained some popularity thanks to Queen Elizabeth I. The manufactured with beeswax and red pigments of flowers, and its use was restricted to upper-class women and actors.

A century later, the parliament decreed that a marriage could be dissolved if the woman was wearing this cosmetic before marriage ... I see that virginity was not enough ...

The situation had a sort of back when Queen Victoria assumed the throne in 1837, completely banishing their use and once again relegating prostitutes and it was not until 1921 that he regained his character fashion.

In France meanwhile, Gerlain began to sell these bars made with deer fat, beeswax and oils, wrapped in tissue paper. Until now, the manufacture of the lip was entirely domestic.

During the 19 th century across the Atlantic in the United States, lipsticks were made from crimson pigment obtained from the pebbles native to Mexico and Central America. Because of its texture was applied with a brush. Because of their high cost and theatrical character, daily use was not well received. Only until they improved the formula with oils giving a more discreet, this situation changed.

In 1915, the lipstick began shipping in small cylinders metal, where the product was raised by a lever mechanism. The current format was only patented and introduced to the market almost 10 years later, by James Bruce Mason Jr.

In Nashville the total acceptance by the female audience was possible thanks to its use in photography and with this Elizabeth Arden starts Sales of lipstick in their classrooms.

During World War II suffered another change their packaging. The tubes went from metal to plastic, but the shortage was imminent due to lack of raw materials during the conflict.

Once crowded the use of lipstick, and crowded, I mean was accepted to apply it in public for lunch during dinner ... ever! Well, the favorite color was dark red popularized by Clara Bow with its outlined shape.

Nevertheless, its use was questioned in the early '30s, where he was considered as a sign of femininity for girls, while adults considered it an element of rebellion, becoming a real conflict youth of the time.

Years later surveys showed results that were against the use of makeup for women, because it was considered unnatural by men. However, young of the time held firm until his provocative and sexual connotation made them desist. Nobody wanted to be linked to prostitution by a little red in the face!

In the '50s divas of film: Marilyn Monroe and Liz Taylor, brought back the dark red lips. And at the end of this decade brands such as Gala and Max Factor introduced new colors such as pale pink and coral and others. In the '60s

lips and pale almost white with a soft glow were a hit, the absolute symbol of femininity, where those who did not apply could be labeled as gay or mentally ill. Alongside rock bands like The Ronettes popularized black lips, which were later resurrected by the punk and Gothic tribes in the 90

already in the 70's color palette was maximized by MAC and Revlon Biba, who included in his portfolio purple, green, blue and silver.

never would have thought that the use of rouge was so controversial for so long. Probably because from the anthropological point of view the red mouths that evoke the labia becomes more red when stimulated, conscious or unconscious reason for women to look for those colors, and men relate to incitement to sexual level.

Sea
whatever reason, I think a well-painted face can dethrone the best pair of eyes, giving character, color and a unique focus. The perfect touch to finish off the look, and paler than the brightness always brings. According

the New Plan. No more plans! Abbey Lee Kershaw

Illustration Marguerite Sauvage

Planning ... dream ... beautiful castles built on futuristic paradise full of everything you want to pass us, and just in those places where we imagine MUST go ... While not? but a giant hammer and heavy that we put on the neck to try to come at all costs to the place that does not exist.

few years ago a great and radical experience made me fall in mind that the biggest torture had been carrying all this time was to imagine and plan for later. Suffer as if the world was over when one of the pieces was not as it should. Living around dreams without actually sizing often now, and as today nothing has a greater impact on our future projections.

Whenever I am more convinced there is no safe route to get there as we have imagined for us, worse if we imagined it. Even worse if we use all our energies to catch the unattainable ... This is increasingly undervalued because neither we achieve and enjoy, we are going so fast that neither the flavor of what it leaves us satisfied ES to let life flow with "small" hands and not to literal groping.

The best plan I can come up at this point is not to plan anything. Let the elements they attract on their own and lead us to the place ... but watch out, that's not just, we must be vigilant and watch. Listen. Experience ... only in this way we arrive at the desired location, and often is closer than we think ...

Combine two or more songs and make a "sound collage" - called Mash-Up or Pop Bastard - may perhaps be the first musical genre born from the underground and crowded thanks to the Internet, especially since the latter half of the 90's.

This new method is becoming popular more and thanks two technological forces that are revolutionizing music-making: computers and cheap software - that enable any individual, without the slightest knowledge of music, to music from your PC to create professional quality - and free sites file sharing - allowing an immediate release for these new musicians. The problem is that the songs are used without authorization, which is the major labels pulling hair and losing money by hills.

While this experiment is very popular in pop and electronica scene, we find in Hip-hop early examples clearer. As the single Planet Rock by Afrika Bambaataa, who in 1982 two issues of Kraftwerk mixed with samples of their own.

The first tracks of this new genus is published as illegal bootlegs or vinyl without labels, as the authors of the original songs almost never give official permission for a remix of this type. In fact a few years ago forced a Warner Music UK radio to broadcast a famous anymore mixture containing a base Christina Aguilera with a single by The Strokes made by Freelance Hellraiser, one of the new RockStar of remixes. Already in 2004 the subject received much more media attention, being highly publicized court proceedings by the Beatles against the publication "Illegal" online compilation The Grey Album by DJ Danger Mouse, a MashUp made The White Album (The Beatles) with The Black Album rapper Jay-Z. Since then this style was more acceptable and overcrowding, and have emerged Bastard Pop producers all over the world, including Latin America. While many DJ's known mashups still running under pseudonyms to avoid conflicts.

The grace of a good "Mash-Up" is that not only the case of an overlap of songs but the birth of a brand new theme ... Spice Girls to The Doors, Adele with Britney Spears, Bee Gees to Pink Floyd, Nirvana's Destiny Child ... in a couple of minutes you can find (or make) millions of "bastards"!

Pink Project (Italian band) in 1982 Pink Floyd mixed with Alan Parsons, as a result the track "Disco Project" is considered one of the early history MashUp

Julia Roberts has been the muse Hollywood since eighties Cinderella story in Pretty Woman (I can not deny that I love this movie!), Tom Hanks to talk about his acting history, but we all know how much I've been through years ... are two dinosaurs gringo films and this time together to make a new and rather typical comedy called Larry Crowne romanticona.
